You have tried to change. You may even understand what you are doing and why you are doing it. But understanding a pattern and being able to change it are not always the same thing. We can look at what keeps happening, what the pattern may be doing for you, and what could help you respond differently.
Relationships can leave us wondering whether the problem is us, the other person, or some confusing combination of both. You may be struggling to communicate, set boundaries, trust someone, leave a relationship, stay in one, or stop repeating the same dynamic with different people. You might wonder about behaviors that no longer feel like a choice.
Dealing with intrusive behavior online can affect our ability to trust and alter our lives, sometimes leading to questions about whether behaviors from others have escalated to stalking or abuse. If you have experienced difficult or traumatic experiences with past or current partners, you will find understanding and support from me in establishing boundaries and safety, and navigating systems .
Anxiety and depression are useful words, but they do not explain everything about the person experiencing them. We will pay attention to how your experience shows up in your actual life, like the thoughts you cannot turn off or the things you avoid… and even the days when ordinary tasks feel impossible and the ways your body reacts before you have time to think. You are not a textbook. We will use what is helpful and stay curious about the rest.

I will listen. I will ask questions. I may notice something you have said more than once or point out a connection that is difficult to see from inside your own life. I will be direct with you, but I will also be gentle. You do not need to perform, impress me, or say what you think a person is supposed to say in therapy.
I believe you have knowledge about yourself that matters. My role is to help you access it, put language around it, and decide what you want to do with it.
The first session is a chance for us to begin understanding what brought you in. You do not have to tell me everything at once.
